How to “Pit Cherries” with a binder clip?

Wonderfully delicious, cherry fruit is packed with full of health-benefiting nutrients and unique antioxidants. They are available in a variety of colors – yellow, black, red. Cherries are one of the very low-calorie fruits. Nonetheless, they are the rich source of phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Both sweet, as well as tart cherries, are packed with numerous health benefiting compounds that are essential for wellness.

Cherries are used in cakes, pies, fruit salad, chutney, and smoothies.

Today I am sharing an easy way to pit cherries without a cherry pitter. You just need a binder clip. 

How to Buy Cherries?
Always look for shiny, plump cherries with fresh green stems and dark coloring for their variety.

How to Store Cherries?
Keep cherries, unwashed and stems attached, in a ziplock bag.

How to Pit Cherries?

You just need a binder clip. First, wash a binder clip and dry it.

First Choose fresh, ripe cherries. Rinse them with water, pat them dry, and remove their stems.

Just unfold the binder clip.

Insert binder clip through the top of the stemmed cherry.

Loosen the pit, and pull it out.
