Cinnamon Apple Walnuts Oatmeal – Pre Workout Meal

Proper nutrition is essential for the body to complete daily tasks. When it comes to exercise, nutrition is even more important. Planning meal before a workout is very important. It gives you the energy to do the workout without getting fatigued.

Oats are loaded with dietary fiber and have a range of healthy cholesterol-lowering properties. But the problem is – Plain oats taste blend. By adding few ingredients and the right cooking method, it will become a better bowl of oatmeal.

Oats contain fiber, they are gentle on the stomach, especially if you make them with water instead of milk. Cinnamon is a good source of antioxidant. The apple skin contributes more fiber and walnuts gives a perfect crunch.

Cinnamon Apple Walnuts Oatmeal – Pre Workout Meal

Ingredients:
Oats – 1/2 cup
Water – 1 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
Apple – 1 (chopped apple with skin)
Chopped Walnuts – 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Combine chopped apple. water, oats in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat and add cinnamon.
  3. Then reduce to low and simmer until thick, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Take out in a bowl sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and chopped walnuts. Enjoy !!!
