Lemon Masala Tea – Healthy Tea

Lemon Masala Tea

Masala tea is one the best beverages to enjoy anytime. It is made by brewing black tea with a mixture of aromatic spices and ginger. There are many versions of this Tea – milk masala tea, black masala tea, and lemon masala tea. Lemon Masala Tea is my Favorite.

It is great especially during those weather changes and helps keep the throat clean especially when you have a sore throat with strep.

Makes 2 cups

Ingredients :
Water – 2 & 1/2 cup
Grated ginger – 1/2 inch
Homemade Tea Masala – 1/4 tsp
Tea powder – 1/4 tsp
Sugar as per your taste
Juice of one Lemon

Method :

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add grated ginger, tea masala powder, and tea powder. Boil for about 2 to 3 minutes or till the flavors is infused well.
  3. Now add half lemon juice in each cup and then pour tea. Mix well.
  4. Lemon Masala tea is ready. For sweetness, you can honey instead of sugar.
  5. Filter tea into cups.
