Black Jaggery Tea – Healthy Beverage

Black Jaggery Tea is made by boiling jaggery with fennel, black pepper, cardamom. The black jaggery tea is a healthy option for diabetic people. It is also beneficial when you are tired or down with cold.

Ingredients :
For 2 cups
Water – 1 & 1/2 cup
Fennel or Sauf – 1 tsp
Tea Powder ( I used Tata Tea) – 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder – 1/8 tsp
Cardamon powder – 1/4 tsp
Crushed jaggery – 1 medium piece



  1. Bring water to a boil. Add grated ginger, fennel or sauf, black pepper powder and tea powder.
  2. Boil for about 2 to 3 minutes or till the flavors is infused well.
  3. Switch off the flame and mix jaggery well. Filter tea into cups.
  4. Black Jaggery Tea is ready to serve.
