Chai or Tea is a very common Indian beverage made from tea leaves or powder, freshly grated ginger, milk, sugar, and water.
There are a few variations of tea made in India like Masala chai and Gur or jaggery wali chai. Masala chai made with spices known as Tea masala. Tea masala is made with different spices and herbs. Gur Or jaggery wali chai is very tasty and healthy. It is made with milk, water, tea leaves. In jaggery tea, jaggery is added in the prepared tea.
Monsoon is the most beautiful season. Snacks you can enjoy in the monsoon –
- Palak Pakoras,
- Bread kebabs,
- Oats Moong daal Tikki,
- Paneer Tikki, with a hot cup of chai or tea.

Reading My book
Adrak sauf chai made with freshly grated ginger, sauf or fennel, milk, tea leaves. Let’s go through the ingredients and procedure.
Ingredients:
For 1 cup
Water – 1 cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Grated ginger – 1 tbsp
Sauf or fennel – 1/2 tsp
Homemade cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Tea leaves or powder – 1/2 tbsp ( I used Tata Tea)

Ingredients
Method:
- Bring 1 Cup of water to boil.

Boiling
2. Add tea powder, grated ginger, sauf or fennel, sugar and boil it on medium low flame for 2 minutes.

Adding milk
3. Now add milk and bring to boil for 2-3 minutes. Finally, add cardamom powder and bring boil for 1 minute. Filter tea into cups. Enjoy !!!
