About Me

Know Your Chef | Rupali Bhandari Karki

My first criteria when creating and testing a recipe is that it has to taste good as well as healthy. Being a mother and wife of fitness freak husband, I always try to add more veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, and healthy fats into meals. But I’m not willing to compromise on flavor for the sake of nutrition. Healthy food needs to taste good too.

Thanks for visiting my Website and Welcome !! I love baking and cooking. I love to share all my recipes here for all food-loving people.

I love Baking

I also post various tips related to cooking, baking, food presentation, and organizing the kitchen in My “Tuesday Tip Section”. I try to give all the recipes some uniqueness in terms of the ingredients. Yet all recipes are made using common ingredients which make it easy for anyone to try at home.

My name is Rupali and I grew up in Chandigarh, one of the most beautiful cities in India. Chandigarh is the capital of Punjab, a state which is famous for cuisine high in butter. Currently, I live in Purmerend. It is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The city is surrounded by polders, such as the PurmerBeemster, and the Wormer.

Reyansh (Rehu) my naughty kid and Manoj (Manu) my fitness freak husband inspires me to cook/bake healthy and experiment with food. This is how my passion for cooking started. Before starting this website I founded a company in 2013 called Two Mothers specializing in baking fresh fruit cakes and jams. I ran Two Mothers for 2 years before Reyansh started his Kindergarten.

I also run a group on Facebook Called Mad About Cooking  &  post this and many more things here. If you want to join send me a request there. Do tag Mad About Cooking on social media and tell me what you cooked from My Recipes.

  1. Hi Ruplai,
I tend to google for recipes & than follow them step by step, substituting certain ingredients. I came across your site & looks something I would like & so will be trying out some of the recipes. I also noticed this is strictly a vegetarian site, which is fine. I keep my diet balanced with poultry & fish at times, which is healthy too. Keep them coming & I’ll let you know how it turns out.
