Tangy Upma with Leftover Chapati- Evening Snack

Ingredients :
Chapati- 4 ( grind into coarse powder )
Finely chopped onion – 1
Finely chopped coriander – 1/4 cup
Finely chopped garlic – 2
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Channa masala – 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds or Rai – 1/4 tsp
Urad daal – 1/4 tsp
Channa daal – 1/4 tsp
Roasted & crushed peanuts – 2 tbsp
Juice of one lemon
Salt to taste


Tangy Upma with leftover chapatti

Method :

  1. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when it pop add urad dal, channa daal.
  2. When dal turns golden brown, add chopped onions. Sauté until onions turn transparent.
  3. Add turmeric, channa masala, red chili powder and add few drops of water.
  4. When masala is cooked then add coarse chapati or roti. Cook for 1 minute and add lemon juice, peanuts, coriander leaves.
  5. Serve with evening tea.
