Protein-Rich Breakfast – Moong Daal Uttapam
Moong daal is super easy, tasty and healthy breakfast recipe. The best part is very easy and does not require to ferment the batter. This uttapam is perfect for breakfast as it contains moong daal which is high in protein.
Moong Daal ( soaked overnight ) – 1 cup
Curd – 1/4 cup
Finely Chopped onion and capsicum – 1 cup
Chopped Green chilies – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil for roasting
Grind soaked moong daal with curd into a smooth batter.
Now add chopped onions, capsicum, green chilies. Let it rest for 20 mins.
Pour 2-3 drops of oil on the hot tava.
Heat the oil in a non-stick tava, pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a uttapam and cover with lid. Let it cook on one side then remove the lid. Using a little oil, turn over and cook on the other side as well.
