Pomegranate is a great source of vitamins, especially vitamin A, C, E as well as folic acid. It also has antioxidant and punicic acid, an omega 5 polyunsaturated fatty acid which is highly beneficial for cell regeneration and proliferation. Today I am sharing a tip – How to deseed a pomegranate quickly without staining your fingers or making a big mess.
How to deseed Pomegranate?
You will need:
Bowl ( big enough to hold all of the pomegranate seeds )
Fill a medium bowl with water. Slice the top of the pomegranate with a sharp knife.
Just cut enough to get through the skin.
Make a cut on the four sides of pomegranate.
Now break it open with your thumbs into sections.
Hold open pomegranate and seeds facing down and tap the skin with a wooden spoon in a water filled bowl.
The pith will float and the seeds will sink.
Remove the pith and discard, then drain the seeds.
Pomegranate Pearls are ready to use.
