Happy Holi – Tri-Color Namakpare

Holi is also known as the festival of colors in India. It is also referred to as the festival of love and compassion. Celebrations are typically marked by the splashing of colors on family and friends. It is a spring festival and perhaps the happiest and most colorful religious festival of the Hindus.

Method :

4. Add a little water at a time and form a stiff dough. It needs to be stiffer than chapatti dough.
5. Rub a little oil/ghee on the dough ball, cover and allow to rest for an hour.
Make all white, green, pink dough with the same procedure.

Tri-color  Namkpare

Tip :

* Boiled 1 medium size beetroot. Chopped it and boiled with 1/2 cup of water. Grind it and used the puree to knead a pink Dough. No need to add water.
* Boiled palak and after boiling immediately add boiled palak into cold water. It helps to retain its bright green color. Grind it and use palak puree to make the green dough. No need to add water.
* You can make masala “Namakpare” too. Just sprinkle chaat masala or oregano or any other masala you want. But these masalas just after frying so that masalas coated well when it’s hot.
