Porridge is one of the best breakfast. By adding dates and jaggery it makes porridge more nutritious and healthier. It is my favorite breakfast before workout, especially in winters.
Dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals. It’s a good source of energy, sugar, and fiber. Essential minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc are found in dates.
Whereas jaggery is loaded with antioxidants and minerals such as zinc and selenium, which in turn help prevent free-radical damage and also boost resistance against infections. It also helps increase the total count of hemoglobin in the blood.
Super Healthy Breakfast
Cooking the dates with the porridge gives a rich, sweetly flavored porridge. Added walnuts and a sliced banana make a satisfying breakfast.
